Cycle Training in Dorset
Description: To a child, a bicycle usually starts as a toy, but quickly turns into a means of transport. This change in use requires the child to gain knowledge and skills to prepare them for journeys on roads - to shops, friends and maybe school. Training is vital if children are to survive on Dorset roads, where some 20,000 adults have crashes every year. We organise a two-part cycle training programme (see below) for young riders. Completing Phase 1 (off-road) and Phase 2 (on-road) does not mean children are guaranteed to be safe - because they lack experience, but they will be better prepared.
